The Challenge
The Goal was to redesign the MyZou student homepage to increase the usability of the site and discoverability of information available. A student survey revealed that the great majority of students found the original site very difficult to navigate.
Constraints
We had a three month deadline. This included gathering research, analyzing our user data, and figuring out how best to craft a space where students could accomplish all their tasks while keeping the design intuitive and fun to use.

Evaluating the Original Site
• The original site used multiple third party pages to access basic student information.
• Users were forced to search through a tree of folders to find the important records and access necessary actions.
• Many of the blue links have the phrase “what is this?” attached to them.
• The Homepage is full of dead links or links to unnecessary pages.
